A juvenile was shot in the buttocks Thursday morning in Northeast D.C., police said.

The boy was at a bus stop around 8:30 a.m. in the 300 block of 15th Street Northeast when he heard gunshots, Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Hugh Carew said. He then realized he had been shot and had someone take him to the hospital.

There was no word on the condition of the boy who was shot, other than he was struck in the buttocks. Police had no information on any possible suspects in the shooting.
