A District Heights man was killed early Saturday morning when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a box truck, Montgomery County police said.

According to MyMPCnews.com, the 31-year-old victim was identified as Ega Egbemimon Edorh-Ananou. He was pronounced dead at the scene along Georgia Avenue near Ennalls Avenue in Wheaton.

The news site stated that at about 7:06 a.m. Saturday, Edorh-Ananou’s 2002 Kawasaki motorcycle was riding northbound alongside the truck when he “entered the lane of the truck and the motorcycle and truck collided.”

Police did not know as of Sunday why Edorh-Ananou drove into the other northbound lane of Georgia Avenue.

The driver of the truck was not injured. He was identified as Erick Tatchikou, 35, of Randallstown.
