SPRINGFIELD, ILL. (AP) - Former IndyCar regular Milka Duno is in her first full season on the ARCA series. On Sunday, she’ll race on a dirt track for the first time.

Duno is the only full-season female driver in the series this year. She’s currently seventh in the points standings.

“I’m looking for more,” she said. “I know it’s not easy, but I have to think in a very ambitious way.”

Sunday’s competition is at the Illinois State Fairgrounds _ the practice session, qualifying session and the race will all occur on the same day. There’s another dirt track later on the schedule, when the series stops at DuQuoin State Fairgrounds on Sept. 2.

Duno has two top-10 finishes this season and won the pole at Talladega in May. The Venezuelan driver is hoping to race on the Nationwide Series in the future.
