He’s one of the biggest-selling thriller writers in the world, whose Jack Reacher novels are so popular that one is sold every two seconds.

He’s also a major pothead.

Author Lee Child admitted to the Daily Mail that most of his writing is done while stoned.

“I’ve been smoking weed for 44 years, five nights a week,” the British native said. “I’m the poster boy to prove it doesn’t do you much harm.

“I have a guy on speed dial in New York who comes over with a huge range of marijuana. I smoke it in a pipe because I’ve never been any good at rolling my own joints.”

Mr. Child also opened up about losing his virginity at 14.

“I was 14 when I smoked my first joint. That was when I had sex for the first time, too. Then I had sex for the second time. With the first girl’s sister.”

“It was the 1960s,” he added.

Mr. Child’s newest book, “Never Go Back,” comes out on Aug. 28 and will be his 18th, the Mail reported. More than 70 million of his Jack Reacher novels have been sold worldwide.
