Thanks to the Seahawks shutting out the Giants on Sunday, anyone who bought a vehicle at a Seattle-area car dealership between Wednesday and Saturday last week is now a little richer.

The Jet Chevrolet car dealership in Federal Way, Wash., ran a promotion that allowed anyone who bought a car during that time to enter their name into the raffle 100 times, but only if the Seahawks blew out the New York Giants, the News Tribune reported.

Roughly 20 people bought cars, and Seattle beat New York 23-0.

Twelve people were chosen by raffle at $35,000 each, meaning the dealership now has to pay out a total of $420,000.

Luckily, the dealership is insured.

Jet Chevrolet co-owner Jim Johnson, a Seahawks season-ticket holder, said the dealership is covered for the promotion, even though they weren’t exactly expecting to need it, the News Tribune reported.

“We wanted this to happen,” Mr. Johnson told the paper. “Everybody’s pretty excited about it. We didn’t really expect it to happen, but it did.”
