DENVER (AP) - Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig left the team’s game against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night with a bruised left hip an inning after running into the right-field wall making a catch.

Puig went back on a drive by Nolan Arenado in the fifth. Puig turned and made the catch near the wall as his left leg hit the padding. He threw the ball in and then lay on the ground. He was attended to by a Dodgers trainer, who appeared to be looking at his left leg, but stayed in for the rest of the inning.

He hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth but came out of the game when the Dodgers pulled starter Zack Greinke. He also doubled and scored a run in the first inning.

The Dodgers announced that X-rays on Puig’s left leg were negative and he is day to day.

Puig, the NL player and rookie of the month for June, is hitting .444 with eight home runs and 18 RBIs since being called up on June 3.
