Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources heads have ordered that all Bibles be taken out of the guest rooms at all state-run lodges and cabins.

The order came on the heels of a complaint from a resident, WAGA-TV reported.

A spokeswoman with the state DNR said the resident cited concerns about the Bibles, and then agency heads told employees to take them out, pending an official investigation to gauge the legalities and issue a formal policy, The Associated Press reported.

DNR did not say how long the investigation would take, AP said.

The report did not clarify the nature of the resident’s expressed concerns.
