During a very recent interview of Syria’s President Bashar Assad by Charlie Rose, Mr. Assad asked Mr. Rose whether the United States would rather see Syria run by a fundamental Islamic government that includes al Qaeda, and see people in black clothing walking Syrian streets, instead of Syria’s secular government and society.

This is the same choice Egypt now appears to be making, as its military recently forced out the radical Muslim Brotherhood and its president, Mohammed Morsi. It now appears headed for replacing this regime with one ruled by its current army general, who seems to be committed to a more authoritarian, secular government along the lines of the one headed by Hosni Murbarak.

All the while at home, our own appeasing President Obama continues to populate his administration with an inner circle of advisers who adhere to the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood and Shariah law. These same advisers are pressuring for changing traditional American values and constitutional freedoms while the American people sleep in quiet bliss.

The left raves about “Islamophobia” as the liberties and freedoms that allow them their rants are gradually diminished by a president they foolishly elected.
