CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. (AP) - Authorities have accused a woman in connection with her sister’s shooting death in Carolina Beach.

Police say the first calls came in just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday reporting shots fired on Carolina Beach Avenue South. Police Chief Ken Hinkle says when officers arrived at a condominium, they found a woman who was shot.

Hinkle and District Attorney Ben David say 54-year-old Joyce Henry Goldberg is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Glenda Henry Bordeaux. She is in jail under $287,000 bond. It couldn’t be determined if she has an attorney.

Investigators aren’t saying yet what may have led to the shooting.
