HIROSHIMA, Japan (AP) - Kazuhiko Chiba scored in the 81st minute on Saturday as Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat FC Tokyo 1-0 to move into first place in the J-League standings.

Chiba’s header off Yojiro Takahagi’s cross sealed the win for the hosts and allowed the defending champions to improve to 16 points, one ahead of Kashima Antlers, who were beaten 2-1 by Albirex Niigata.

Kengo Kawamata opened the scoring in the 20th for Niigata and Shoma Doi equalized 10 minutes later but an own goal by Takeshi Aoki ended Kashima’s bid for a third straight win.

In other matches, Diego Forlan scored both goals as Cerezo Osaka drew with crosstown rivals Gamba Osaka 2-2. Hiroyuki Abe scored both goals for Gamba.

Shingo Akamine also scored twice as Vegalta Sendai beat Yokohama F Marinos 2-0 for its first win of the season just days after former Australia coach Graham Arnold stepped down.

Daisuke Nasu scored in the 95th minute as Urawa Reds beat Nagoya Grampus 2-1 while Shimizu S-Pulse beat Omiya Ardjia 2-0.

Fabio Simplicio, Marqhinos and Jung Woo-young scored as third-placed Vissel Kobe beat winless Tokushima Vortis 3-0 and improved to 14 points. Sagan Tosu defeated Ventforet Kofu 2-0.
