OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) - Authorities say a 5-year-old Oshkosh boy is dead after he was hit by a vehicle.

The accident happened Friday on the 300 block of Foster Avenue. A news release issued Saturday by police did not elaborate, but says the accident is still being investigated.

Police say that fire officials took the boy to a local hospital, but he died from his injuries.

The boy’s name hasn’t been released. Authorities say they aren’t releasing any more information at this time.
