JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State got strong pitching and clutch hitting to rally for a 3-2 win over South Alabama in Sun Belt Conference baseball in Mobile, Ala.

ASU trailed 1-0 and 2-1 in Sunday’s game before tying the game with a run in the seventh and Zach Maggio doubled in what proved to be the winning run in the top of the ninth.

Bradley Wallace, Tyler Zuber, Colton Kibler and Morgan Croft combined to hold South Alabama to two runs on 10 hits. Kibler gets the win to improve to 3-1 on the season while Croft picked up his seventh save. Cameron Carleton took the loss and drops to 0-1.

ASU improves to 20-16 overall and 10-5 in the Sun Belt while South Alabama falls to 16-19 and 6-8.
