SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Crews have been scheduled to begin picking up litter and other items along the interstate system in southeast South Dakota.

Workers from the state’s Department of Transportation on Monday will start cleaning up Interstate 29. They will then move to Interstate 229 and finish with Interstate 90.

Officials say the cleanup may take up to five weeks. They are asking drivers to be cautious and reduce speeds while driving in areas where crews are working.
