SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The campaign for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Annette Bosworth says she raised slightly more than $772,000 during the first three months of 2014.

Patrick Davis with Bosworth’s campaign says in an email that Bosworth spent nearly $674,000 during the quarter, and the campaign had about $348,000 cash on hand as of March 31.

Bosworth, a Sioux Falls physician, is one of five Republicans seeking the nomination for the seat being vacated by the retiring Sen. Tim Johnson. Also seeking the GOP nod are former Gov. Mike Rounds, state Rep. Stace Nelson of Fulton, state Sen. Larry Rhoden of Union Center and Yankton attorney and soldier Jason Ravnsborg.

Rick Weiland is the sole Democratic candidate, and former Republican U.S. Sen. Larry Pressler is running as an independent.
