OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Leaders of the Cherokee Nation are planning a meeting with Gov. Mary Fallin, Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb and state lawmakers as part of the tribe’s Legislative Day at the State Capitol.

The event on Monday will celebrate the Cherokee Nation’s culture and traditions through various festivities. Tribal departments will also be at the Capitol to showcase the work of the tribe’s programs and services.

Among the tribal leaders scheduled to attend are Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Bill John Baker and Deputy Chief S. Joe Crittenden.
