PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a 60-year-old man whose body was found off a trail near the community of Olene in Klamath County.

Oregon State Police Lt. Gregg Hastings says the man was dropped off Monday at the OC&E Woods Line State Trail. A hiker discovered the body shortly before noon Wednesday in some brush about 30 yards from the path.

There were no signs of foul play and an autopsy will be performed.

Hastings says the man was from Klamath Falls, but his name won’t be released until Thursday.

The OC&E Woods Line State Trail is a 100-mile, rail-to-trail conversion built on the old railbed of the Oregon, California, and Eastern Railroad.
