JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi House, on a 63-57 vote Wednesday, rejected House Bill 765, which would give have given vouchers worth more than $6,000 a year to parents of some special education students.

A yes vote was a vote for the bill, while a no vote was a vote against it.

Voting yes were 53 Republicans and four Democrats. Voting no were 11 Republicans and 52 Democrats. One Republican and one Democrat voted “present,” which does not count for or against the bill.
