MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - Two western Michigan sisters who authorities say tried to hire a hit man to kill the husband of one of the women each face the prospect of prison time after entering pleas in the case.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/Od9kyc ) 51-year-old Vickie Brill on Tuesday pleaded no contest in a Muskegon County courtroom to solicitation to murder. The plea isn’t an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing, which is May 6.

A judge agreed to cap Brill’s minimum sentence at six years.

Forty-six-year-old Diane Hart earlier pleaded no contest and faces the same minimum sentence at an April 28 hearing.

Police say the Ravenna-area sisters sought to have Hart’s husband killed and met in a parking lot with an undercover state trooper. The meeting was videotaped.
