STORRS, Conn. (AP) - UConn will hold viewing parties for this weekend’s men’s and women’s Final Four basketball games for fans who can’t make it to Nashville or the Dallas area.

The school’s teams are both in the national semifinals in the same season for the fourth time, and are trying to duplicate the dual national championships the programs won in 2004.

The men’s game against Florida on Saturday will be shown on big screens being set up inside Gampel Pavilion, the school’s basketball arena.

Sunday night’s women’s game against Stanford will be shown in the Student Union Theatre.

The teams’ coaches and school president Susan Herbst issued a joint statement Wednesday asking students to celebrate responsibly after the games, and not let an “amazing moment like a UConn victory be tarnished by doing something destructive.”
