RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - April is Alumni Month at Virginia Commonwealth University.

VCU officials say the month features an extensive schedule of lectures, forums, service projects, receptions and other activities.

It started with a luncheon with author Rita Mae Brown on Tuesday. An alumni winery tour is set for Saturday. Alumni Night at The Diamond will feature a picnic before the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball game on April 25.

Also, many classes will return to the university as part of Reunion Weekend April 11-13.

Alumni are eligible for a two-week introductory membership to the Cary Street Gym and the MCV Campus Recreation and Aquatics Center during April.
