MADISON LAKE, Minn. (AP) - Authorities in Blue Earth County say a canoe carrying two men capsized on Madison Lake, and one man apparently drowned.
A Mankato Free Press report (https://bit.ly/1mp2jqN ) says the two men were canoeing Saturday night. Their craft tipped over, throwing both men into the water. Neither was wearing a life preserver.
Thirty-nine-year-old Rahmondo Moore of Madison Lake died of apparent drowning. His body was recovered three hours later.
The other man was 30-year-old Michael Grisson of Madison Lake. He was able to swim to shore and call for help.
The sheriff’s department says alcohol is believed to be a factor.
