ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed says three finalists have been selected in the search for a new general manager of the city’s airport.

Reed’s office announced the names in a news release Monday morning.

The three finalists are:

- Deborah Ale Flint, director of aviation at Oakland International Airport in California;

- Miguel A. Southwell, interim general manager, City of Atlanta Department of Aviation;

- Paul J. Wiedefeld, executive director, Maryland Aviation Administration.

The mayor’s office says the search included an exhaustive look at top aviation executives at the top 40 airports in the country. Reed met last week with five candidates selected by the committee. He plans to conduct a second interview with each of the finalists and to choose a new general manager within the next two weeks.
