NEW YORK (AP) - Lubash, making his season debut, held off Kharafa by a neck Thursday in the $62,000 allowance feature for New York breds on the turf at Aqueduct.

Junior Alvarado was aboard for trainer Christophe Clement as the 7-year-old earned his ninth win in 33 starts. The time was 1:44.17 for 1 1/16 miles on the course rated firm.

Lubash paid $6.80, $3.70 and $2.60 as the 2-1 favorite. Kharafa returned $3.80 and $2.50, and Notacatbutallama paid $2.50 to show.
