CLARK, N.J. (AP) - Three sheep were captured unharmed after they briefly fled from a shearing demonstration in northern New Jersey.
The Star-Ledger (https://bit.ly/1nxFAvt) reports that two of the sheep were captured just moments after they fled from a fenced area at the Dr. William Robinson Plantation Museum in Clark, where the event was held on Sunday.
But the third made its way down a nearby residential street before it was apprehended with the help of police.
Museum volunteer Lisa Jennings told the newspaper that it appears one of the sheep found a hole in the corner of the fence, and the two others soon joined in a run for freedom.
Jennings joked that the sheep apparently “didn’t want a haircut today.”
