DETROIT (AP) - A thriller starring Chace Crawford and Eliza Dushku has been approved for a Michigan film incentive.

The state’s film office on Tuesday announced the $1.95 million incentive for “Eloise.”

It says the movie will begin shooting in early May at locations throughout Wayne County. Its production offices are based in Detroit’s Masonic Temple.

The Michigan Film Office says it expects the project to have in-state expenditures of $7.2 million.

“Eloise” takes place inside a defunct insane asylum of the same name. Four friends break into the abandoned institution in hopes of finding a death certificate, but they find that “Eloise” houses a horrifying history.

The film also stars Michigan native Brandon T. Jackson, who has appeared in “Tropic Thunder” and the “Percy Jackson” movies.
