WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - A 1-year-old Wichita child is hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the chest.
KSNW-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1fvmXWK ) the shooting happened Tuesday afternoon in the northeastern part of the city. Police said the child was taken in a private vehicle to Wesley Medical Center and was in serious condition Tuesday night.
Officers were investigating whether the child was shot by another child, possibly a 3-year-old.
Additional details were being withheld while officers tried to interview witnesses.
