PITTSBORO, Miss. (AP) - Two men have been arrested in Calhoun County as they attempted to transfer drugs into the local jail.

The Sheriff’s Department tells WTVA-TV in Tupelo (https://bit.ly/1hOLRLC ) 26-year-old Chaz Welch of Bruce was arrested for allegedly giving marijuana to another inmate who was coming in off a work detail.

Authorities say the act was caught on camera.

The inmate, 24-year-old Terrence Willis, was found with the contraband later when confronted by a deputy.

Willis was charged with introducing contraband into a correctional facility.

Authorities say they also conducted a search warrant on Welch’s residence. At the site, they found marijuana and a set of scales.

Welch was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia, introducing contraband into a correctional facility and other charges.
