ST. LOUIS (AP) - Two St. Louis residents have been sentenced to prison for selling more than $1 million worth of stolen merchandise.

A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced 43-year-old Christian Ounanian to more than five years in prison, and 38-year-old Gina Vogel to 3 ½ years in prison. They must also pay restitution of $1,008,890.

Court documents show that Ounanian owned Xtra Wholesale in ST. Louis. Federal prosecutors say that Ounanian and Vogel hired people to steal over-the-counter drugs and other items from Walgreens and CVS stores. The items were then resold.
