GRETNA, La. (AP) - Gretna police say three suspects wanted in the death of a 55-year-old cab driver are in custody.

Deputy Police Chief Anthony H. Christiana Jr. identified the victim as Blake J. Helmer, a long-time driver for Glenn’s Cab Co.

He says Helmer was shot several times during a robbery Tuesday night.

Christiana says 34-year-old Jonah Brown was arrested a short time later in the Algiers section of New Orleans.

Police arrested the other two suspects, 19-year-old Tavon Corley and 18-year-old Ivory Warren, early Wednesday morning.

Christiana says Brown and Warren will be booked with first-degree murder.

He says Corley faces a charge of accessory to first-degree murder.

It was unclear whether the men have attorneys.
