ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - It’s not every day the St. George Police Department gets a series of calls about a naked man walking down the street.
But that’s what officers found when they responded to several 911 calls just before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday near the 2000 East block of Middleton Drive.
Police Sgt. Sam Despain says 34-year-old Vance Hodo of Woods Cross parked his truck in the road, then began to act strangely, getting in and out of the truck with no clothes on.
Despain told The Spectrum (https://tinyurl.com/q3lrrvr) Hodo was taken into custody when he allegedly started walking into oncoming traffic. He then was transported to the Dixie Regional Medical Center for a mental evaluation.
He’s been charged with disorderly conduct, improper parking, operating an unregistered vehicle, littering and lewdness.
