PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Four people have pleaded not guilty to killing a teenage boy in Providence in February.
The 18-year-olds Ashner Alexis and Alain Bedame, 21-year-old Anthony Moore, and 19-year-old Seydina Ndoye entered the pleas during a brief state court hearing in Providence on Friday. They were ordered held without bail.
Seventeen-year-old George Holland was standing in his girlfriend’s home on Feb. 4 when he was shot through the window. Holland played for the Central High School football team.
The four are charged with one count each of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.
A fifth person, 17-year-old Robert Winston, pleaded guilty in March to assault with intent to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He has not yet been sentenced.
