YORKTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - A 14-year-old boy is accused of calling in bomb threats to two Westchester County high schools.

Police say the Walter Panas High School in Cortlandt Manor and Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak were forced to evacuate after the threats were called in on Monday.

According to the Journal News (https://lohud.us/1mPpNI70 ), Westchester County police say the caller said the schools were going to “blow up.”

The calls came in around 10 a.m. Classes resumed around noon after authorities searched the buildings. Nothing was found.

County and Yorktown police on Thursday filed charges against the boy as a juvenile. His name was not released.
