ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - A gathering in Rock Hill this week is aiming to help foster business connections with Native Americans and companies wishing to do business with them.

On Friday, American Indian Chamber of Commerce of South Carolina is holding its 7th annual business expo.

Organizers say the event is intended to bring together companies, government officials and leaders from Native American and non-Native American communities for networking and exchanging business ideas.

A welcome reception on Thursday featured food and Native American entertainment.

Some of the chamber’s members and sponsors include Michelin North America, Inc., Lockheed Martin, BMW North America and BlueCross BlueShield.
