ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) - A school bus driver has been fired for texting while driving for the Francis Howell School District.

Francis Howell spokeswoman Jennifer Henry told The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1kcdK7O) that a middle-school student took a video of the driver texting with kids on board Thursday, and parents contacted the district.

District officials said the company the driver worked for fired the driver as a result of the incident.

Drivers age 21 and under in Missouri can be ticketed for texting and driving.
