Sen. Claire McCaskill, Missouri Democrat, said she forgets about clotures votes and playing politics when she’s at Busch Stadium in St. Louis watching the Cardinals play.
“It’s a special day we kind of pay tribute to the past and look forward to another pennant and another ring,” she said Tuesday on MSNBC, where she was joined by a member of the “Morning Joe” team for opening day on Monday.
Joe Scarborough, a Red Sox fan and host of “Morning Joe,” was supposed to be at opening day with the senator but ended up not being able to go.

“Kind of a typical Republican — says one thing and does another,” Ms. McCaskill said.
