Discovery Channel’s “Sons of Guns” star Will Hayden was arrested in Louisiana Saturday on child molestation charges.

Mr. Hayden, 44, is founder and owner of Red Jacket Firearms, the business behind the hit television series. The show ended its fifth season in May, CNN reported.

The gunsmith was booked in East Baton Rouge, also facing charges for aggravated crimes against nature. He was released the same day after posting $150,000 bail.

Because of the nature of the arrest, further details on the charges have been sealed by court order, CNN reported.

Mr. Hayden told TMZ that the arrest stems from false allegations by a bitter ex-girlfriend, who is mother to one of his daughters.

He said the woman went to police more than a week ago and accused him of molesting their daughter, who he is raising now with his new wife, TMZ reported.

The child was interviewed by Child Protective Services and reportedly returned to Mr. Hayden’s home.

His older daughter Stephanie told TMZ: “There was never any impropriety in our home. He was and is a good father.”
