Now America knows what Sitting Bull felt like in 1876. History is full or ironies. It is ironic that the descendants of the very foreign invaders who destroyed the great Lakota Nation should now, 138 years later, be overwhelmed by foreign invaders themselves.

Just as in 1876, these invaders do not speak your language, and they have a completely different culture, ethnicity and society. They have destroyed your way of life and livelihood the way whites killed the buffalo for their hides, began heavy industry on previously pristine lands and imported diseases to which you have no natural immunity. They are supporting themselves by sharing your wealth. You will soon find yourself a forgotten minority condemned to the waste bin of history, a life of ignominious poverty in a country you no longer know.

In some cases, they have used “friendly” tribes to help them in conquering you for their own personal gain. In the end, you will wind up on the same reservation. The only question now is: Will you go out with honor, fighting the enemy to the end, or with a politically correct whimper?

Welcome to Wounded Knee.
