President Obama will hold a traditional end-of-year news conference Friday at the White House before leaving on a 17-day vacation in Hawaii.

The president will take questions from reporters before departing with his family on Air Force One to Oahu, where the Obamas will stay in an exclusive rented home for the holidays. Mr. Obama is due to return to Washington on the weekend after New Year’s Day.

At the press conference, Mr. Obama is likely to face questions on his executive action on immigration, the release of the Senate report on torture of terrorism suspects, his move to restore diplomatic relations with Cuba, the cyberattacks against Sony Pictures and other issues.
