LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a 29-year-old man surrendered for arrest at the Clark County jail, a day after he was identified as the suspect in a fatal weekend shooting in northwest Las Vegas.

Records showed that Kolby R. Edwards was arrested Sunday and was being held Tuesday without bail pending an initial court appearance.

Police had identified Edwards as the suspect in the early Saturday slaying of 25-year-old Cordan Jamal Swift at an apartment off Jones near Lake Mead boulevards.

The Clark County coroner reports that Swift, who lived in Las Vegas, was shot multiple times.

Police say Edwards also had been sought on a fugitive warrant issued in Arkansas in an unrelated case.

It wasn’t immediately clear from jail and court records if Edwards had a lawyer.
