LADSON, S.C. (AP) - Charleston County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man in Ladson.

A man told deputies he shot and killed a man Sunday morning who tried to rob him with a stun gun.

The coroner’s office says the dead man was 25-year-old Robert Deziel of Summerville. An autopsy was planned Monday.

Maj. Eric Watson said a homeowner said he was walking to his car when a white man approached him in the driveway and tried to shock him with a stun gun.

Watson said the two men struggled until the homeowner pulled a handgun and shot the attacker.

No charges have been filed.

The homeowner was taken to Trident Medical Center for injuries he sustained during the struggle. His name has not been released.
