PELHAM, Ala. (AP) - Federal investigators say a missing Pelham girl has returned home after being found in California.

FBI Birmingham Division spokesman Paul Daymond says Ramon Nunez Cervantes, of Alabaster, Ala., was arrested in Corona, Calif. on charges of interfering with child custody.

Officials say the girl was reported missing to police in Pelham Friday morning and the report indicated that she might be with Cervantes. Investigators say the girl was returned to her mother’s custody on Sunday. Her age and identity’s haven’t been released.

Daymond says investigators saw Cervantes and the girl leaving a house in the southern California city and he was taken into custody during a traffic stop.

Cervantes is being held on $250,000 bond in a Riverside County jail and it’s unclear if he has an attorney.
