BALTIMORE (AP) - Gov. Martin O’Malley declared a state of emergency as forecasters predicted 6 to 10 inches of snow would fall in much of Maryland.
O’Malley issued the declaration Tuesday afternoon. Snow is predicted to begin Wednesday night, and much the state is under a winter storm watch.
The Maryland Emergency Management Agency said snow likely will be heavy and wet, endangering trees that could fall and bring down power lines.
