ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - A police affidavit says a Southern Oregon man found his wife in a mobile home bedroom with another man and fatally shot him.

The Roseburg News-Review (https://bit.ly/1ctdLLg) reports 30-year-old Robert Williams was shot at a trailer park in Winston, south of Roseburg.

Authorities arrested 38-year-old Donald Dwight Davis that evening.

Police said Davis told them he looked out his window about 2:45 a.m., saw his wife’s car at Williams‘ trailer, and when nobody answered his knock there, let himself in.

Police said Davis initially told them Williams lunged at him and the gun went off, but later said he pulled the trigger.

Davis‘ attorney, Elizabeth Baker of Eugene, said the woman “categorically denies that her husband is responsible.”

She said Davis was arraigned Monday but hasn’t entered a plea.
