FULTON, Ark. (AP) - Authorities have temporarily suspended the search for a woman on the Red River who has been missing since she and another person went over a highway bridge railing on Saturday during a crash on an icy bridge.

The search for 42-year-old Janice Northcross of Ashdown was called off Tuesday due to cold conditions on the river. Her husband, Eddie Northcross, says a dive team will try to find his wife on Thursday.

The divers were unable to start earlier because of freezing rain moving into southwestern Arkansas.

Janice Northcross was on Interstate 30 on Saturday, where cars were skidding on the ice. She either jumped or was knocked off the bridge with 51-year-old Ricky Norwood, who was rescued. They were trying to avoid being hit by a sliding tractor-trailer.
