LOS ANGELES (AP) - Emergency crews have responded to a gunshot victim in South Los Angeles.

Police Lt. Kris Kalis says officers were called to the scene at 36th Street and Vermont Avenue near the University of Southern California shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday.

She says one person is wounded.

Investigators are looking for a gold four-door Mercedes that may be connected to the shooting.

Kalis says the shooting may have occurred around 57th Street and Hoover Street and the victim may have traveled several blocks before police were called.

Kalis says the incident is not related to the university.
