D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Agreements between the city of D’Iberville and casino developers have been modified in preparation for construction of Scarlet Pearl Casino.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1gJPuWh ) the development agreements with Land Holdings I were terminated and now are with Scarlet Pearl, the company that in December received the Mississippi Gaming Commission’s permission to proceed with construction.

City Attorney W. Fred Hornsby III said typically at this point in development, a company needs to make sure all approvals are up to date and transferred from the original company to the operating company.

Developers of the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort plan a miniature golf course and 300 hotel rooms in addition to the gambling hall.
