PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say two people have been injured after they were hit by falling debris when part of a building collapsed in north Philadelphia.

WPVI-TV reports that part of the two-story building collapsed around 7:45 p.m. in the Logan section of the city and two people who were walking by were hit by debris. The two victims have been taken to Einstein Hospital but the extent of their injuries aren’t known.

Fire officials say no one was inside of the building at the time.

Officials from the city’s Department of Licenses & Inspections and the Philadelphia Electric Co. have been called to the scene for assistance.
