GRANT, Ala. (AP) - Firefighters say about 20 acres were burned by a brush fire in Grant.

WAAY-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1h4bR8Y ) the fire started around 5 p.m., and crews from four fire departments spent hours fighting the blaze.

The flames spread quickly and at least one home was threatened. Firefighters on the scene said the residents helped keep the flames away from their home.



It wasn’t immediately clear how the fire started.
