BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business will induct three alumni into its 2014 Hall of Distinction class.

College Dean Richard White Jr. said Gregory Hamer Sr., Rose Hudson and John Landon will be recognized March 28.

The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/1kY8Nyk) the trio will be inducted during the Hall of Distinction banquet at the school’s Business Education Complex.

White says each of the inductees have exceeded the criteria used to determine a Hall of Distinction member and is deserving of the honor.

Hamer, CEO of B&G; Food Enterprises, is a 1968 general business administration graduate of the school; Hudson, a 1989 public administration graduate, is president and CEO of the Louisiana Lottery Corp.; and Landon, a 1980 accounting graduate, is president and owner of Landon Development Co.

Hamer’s company operates more than 80 Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Long John Silver’s fast-food restaurants and employs more than 2,000 workers in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

Hudson oversees nearly 150 employees in offices across the state for the lottery corporation which was established in 1991 after the Louisiana Legislature proposed a government-run lottery as a way to generate revenue without increasing taxes.

Landon’s company was established in 2006 and draws upon his vast previous experience in land acquisition and development operations for a large homebuilder, sales and land development experience for the Trammel Crow Residential Group and his time as a public accountant with Ernst & Whinney.

“These alumni have distinguished themselves and are truly deserving of this honor,” White said. “Rose, Greg and John have exceeded the criteria we use to determine our Hall of Distinction members, and we are very much looking forward to their special evening.”
