ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s Green Mountain Mall is close to being fully re-opened after a burst water main earlier this month caused extensive damage.

Thousands of gallons of water and mud gushed through the floor of a loading dock and flooded most of the mall with water and mud Feb. 3.

Some stores at the St. Johnsbury mall have already reopened. The Caledoniam Record reports (https://bit.ly/1h68hLN ) that most stores will open by the end of the month.

The owner of one of the hardest hit stores - Optical Expressions - says he plans to reopen March 3.

Officials say about 1,500 gallons of water a minute gushed into the mall before crews could stop the flow two hours later.
